Trends Show Retailers Going Green Rising To The Top
The facts are obvious. Retailers are retailers, even the big dogs, are "going green". It was bound to happen and it is about time. Of course the Wal-marts, Targets and Sams Clubs of the world, most likely, will never go fully earth-friendly, and merely offer sections in their stores rather than become another Whole Foods, it is still a very good sign. I was in Kroger's last week, a place I'd not shopped in awhile. It is clearly going green with, what appeared to be more than half their groceries stamped organic.
Laughter Is The Best Medicine, But Why?
There's a myriad of reasons why we laugh and use humor in our lives. Humor goes back to the prehistoric days, or so they say. Since that was a few years before my time (but unfortunately not too many years before my time), I will have to take archaeologists word for this phenomena. I remember loving to laugh as a child. My mom was the joke cracker of our family until I came along and tried in all earnestness to out-perform her. She was a natural and it was impossible. But and making her laugh, was especially fun, as she was a perfectionist in the field of humor.
Going Green After 50
My loved ones know I'm going green and they worry at me. They really shouldn't. It is the right thing to do. Besides this is really not my first time to improve my quality of life. I started recycling many years ago, and other than taking organic vitamins and trying my best to eat natural foods, but that was about as much as I felt I could do at the time.
Where Do You Stand With The Earth's Environment
I was still a young man, living in the rural south. I recall hearing my mother speak of a woman who had had incurable cancer, given chemotherapy, and sent home to die by her oncologist. She allegedly took an herb for several years and the cancer went into remission. Of course, I was skeptical, until I met the woman, then in her seventies, and appeared a picture of health. This started my quest at the nearby library, which did not offer much, to read about a more regarding organic lifestyles.
Offbeat Cartoonist's Life Saved Two Times By Smart Dogs
I was still relatively new to southern California in 1994. I had sold my successful bus tour business in Washington D.C and moved to Los Angeles to try my hand at screen-writing. Not much was shaking for me in Los Angeles, except the ground. I settled in Sherman Oaks in the San Fernando Valley area. I can clearly remember being awakened about five a.m by my golden retriever puppy Otis who was barking wildly. Otis slept on the bed with me but he had hopped down onto the floor to begin his ranting. This was no ordinary bark but I took him outside anyway into the back yard which met an alley. Otis kept barking and was clearly agitated but did not relieve himself. I rubbed my eyes and looked around and there was dozens (if not more) cats walking around in circles in the alley. I had never seen this before. They were clearly not acting the way I normally see cats behave, but it was as if they were trying to escape something. My golden puppy continued barking.
Laugh At A Cartoon...Save Your Life
You might think about calling a good doctor to put me away if I told you that a good cartoon might save your life, or at least increase the quality of your life. Ironically it is good doctors who agree with this theory.
Aardvarks, Dentists, And Cartoons
Londons Times Cartoons is loaded with animal images, but none is more popular and funny than the aardvark. Aardvark Dentistry is the name of one of their most classic favorites and the cartoonist has decided to do a little research on the aardvark. This is the fascinating information he found. If you are looking for aardvarks, you need to go south of the Sahara Desert in Africa. "Earth Pig" is what the Africans call them, and, in fact, the name ardvark means "earth pig". So, makes sense to me. Their body somewhat resembles a pig which probably has a lot to do with that. But why they call them earth pigs, since regular pigs do not fly (to my knowledge) is beyond me. Their tails resemble a kangaroo's and ears like a rabbit. Aardvarks stay inside, whatever that is during the day.
How Stray Dogs And Cats Help Us
With humans, unconditional love seems to need to be earned, and that in itself is a dichotomy; it is conditional if it has to be earned. Why is it so hard for humans to purvey real love these days without strings attached. Maybe we've had the wrong teachers. They are out there. A lot of them. One just need find them.
Is There A Perfect Corporate Gift?
In my humble opinion, a lot of giant retailers of various products do some things very, very right, and others, leave something to be desired.
Funny Dog & Cat Cartoon Products Benefit Animal Causes
Though humans tend to have very many differences, nothing can bring us closer together than a cute puppy or kitty. They seem to have a special spirit with which humans can connect.
Dogue De Bordeauxs And Other
Like so many canine breeds, the Dogue de Bordeaux's is rather vague. There are numerous theories spouted by breeding experts. Most believe the Dogue's existence came years before the Bull mastiff and Bulldog. Others believe all three breeds were being created at the same time. It is often believed that the Bulldog is he anchor (main breed) behind the Dogue de Bordeaux also known as the French Mastiff. All theories seem valid and any could be right, but some scholars believe the Dogue originates from the Tibetan Mastiff and that it is a relative of the Greco Roman molossoids used for war. There is also a possibility in this theory in that during Julius Caesar's reign, there was a breed in Rome almost identical to the Dogue. There is the "ancient France" theory, that this was their real origin, and this breed was known as the Dogue de Bordeaux of Aquitaine. Whichever is true, most canine historians do agree upon the fact that the Dogue de Bordeaux shared the same common links as all modern Molossers.
Dogue Stories: Origins Of The Dog De Bordeux
Since everyone fell in love with the large slobbering dog (Dogue de Bordeaux) in "Starsky And Hutch" America has finally fallen for this huge territorial four-legged beauty, but nobod is quite sure from where it derived. Some historians are certain it derived from the Bulldog and several other breeds somewhere in France, others are certain it was ancient Tibet, and still others ancient Rome during Julius Caesar's rule. There is archeological evidence that a dog of nearly identical looks resided there at the time. The most popular theory is that the Dogue originated in ancient France and lived mostly in the city of Aqitine. Only one thing Dogue experts agree upon is that all these similar breeds share the same gene-link as all 21st century Molossers.
