  • Starting out Juicing (Part 1)
If you are young or even just new to the bodybuilding scene then I urge you to read this before making a decision that can and will change the rest of your life forever. So, are you too young? I decided to write this article due to the countless mails I have received asking advice on cycles from well, children. Let me start be giving you a few examples of mails which I have been sent:
  • Bodybuilding and your Training Errors (Part 1)
Eating like a pigeon: There's nothing simpler than the fact that if you are not putting on weight, you just have to eat larger quantities so you can grow more body tissues. That means not only more proteins but also more carbohydrates and even fats.
  • Bodybuilding And Getting Mass Muscle
The proverbial question: what's the fastest way to gain muscle? That question can be answered in a number of ways, but the best way (not the easiest!) is going to be discussed in this article.
  • Go Bananas With Bodybuilding
Instead of an apple a day... If you want a quick fix for flagging energy levels there's no better snack than a banana. Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose - combined with fiber, a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90 minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
  • Bodybuilders and their Future (Part 3)
On 22nd May 2003, a Bodybuilder died. Scott Klein was found dead by his mother in his bed. The cause of death was cardio-vascular disease and kidney failure. It is possible that his death had nothing to do with bodybuilding, but as far as I am aware healthy 30 year old men don't tend to drop down dead with kidney failure unless through genetical problems and that wasn't the case here. I couldn't believe it when during the same week I heard that another great bodybuilder Tom Prince had fallen ill with ulcers and kidney problems.
  • Thed Future of Bodybuilders (Part 2)
It was just about fifty years ago that drugs began to appear on the bodybuilding scene and it was in the early sixties that we hear about bodybuilders taking Dianobol. At this stage the major drug companies began to develop their own steroid drugs, many of which are still in use today. The downside came when reports began to appear regarding drug use in sport and many drug companies abandoned their products resulting in many good patented drugs never being developed.
  • The future of Bodybuilders (Part 1)
It is a common fact that Bodybuilders are not immortal and have to die at some stage, but this Bodybuilder was barely 30 years old. Although he was relatively unknown on the world scene as a bodybuilder, he was a U.S state heavyweight champion and one of the best at national level.
  • Too Young to use (Part 3)
By when I got to 21, I was 6 foot 1' but if I had started juicing before I probably wouldn't have. Now I felt ready both mentally and physically. I had learnt to train the hard way without drugs and this gave me the determination to succeed. You just need to push yourself to the limit over a period of time and diet is crucial...I worked myself up to 7 daily meals.
  • When to start using Creatine (Part 2)
So tell me, when can I commence and why? Well I would always say 21 is a recommended age to start. And why?....Well basically in a male up til 21, the natural level of testosterone is high which causes sparadic growth spurts, which means that bones, muscle tissue etc. are still not fully developed and body maturity is still incomplete.
  • Too Young to use Creatine (Part 1)
Whether you are either young or a bodybuilding novice, it is crucial that this be read before you reach a decision that can and will alter the rest of your life. So the big question is are you too young? Well in response to numerous e-mails on Cycles from youngsters, I decided to write this article. Here are a few examples of their e-mails.
  • Teenagers and Weight Training (part 2)
Make the routines fun and not monotonus and never insist on forcing youngsters to carry out an excercise they cant handle. Start with free standing and flexibility training , and concentrate on sporting skills which require team work. Dont forget as expressed in part 1 that all weight training exercises should be light to medium, avoiding spine bending activities such as heavy low squats and other dangerous exercises such as dead lifts.
  • Weight Training for Teenagers (part 1)
Teenagers often come to a crisis in their lives whan it comes to physical appearance and an acceptable self image. These can be troubling times as they strive to reach their objectives, defeat is painful. This combined with the effects of adolesent hormones and subsequent appearence of spots and pimples, they are no doubt in an up hill struggle to reach that acceptable physical image.
  • Health and supplements for Muscle Mass Training
For you to get the best results from your workout, your body needs all the necessary vitamins and minerals as well as necessary levels of major components of the diet being proteins, carbohydrates and lipids. These are referred to as the 'macro-nutrients' of the diet as they are consumed in much larger quantities, where as the 'micro-nutrients' being vitamins and minerals are consumed in much smaller quantities.
