"Jamestown 2007" Events are already making history in Virginia

Civil War's USS Monitor returns to "active duty" at Mariners' Museum in Virginia
The Union USS Monitor and the Confederate CSS Virginia (Merrimack) fought a four hour battle of the ironclads in Hampon Roads, Virginia that changed the course of the Civil War and made every wooden battleship in the world obsolete. Featured at the Mariners' Museum USS Monitor Exhibition opening in Newport News, Virginia March 9, 2007.
