Home | Business | Home Based Business Napoleon Hill, an exemplary leader, said it best “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” This visionary quality is what sets leaders apart from those who follow. The visionary is able to see beyond the day-to-day “reality” to the possibilities that are waiting in the next minute, hour, day, week, month, and year to materialize. These possibilities are the miracles that most are unwilling to believe in, and because of this doubt, relegate themselves to a life of mediocrity rather than success. Jack Canfield in his book The Successful Principles, talks about the power of the brain and how it functions differently from what scientists originally thought. Certainly, the brain responds to outside stimuli, but it also responds on the basis of previous experience, on what it, the brain, expects to happen. With this being the case, it is clear why it is so very important to replace old negative thoughts with more positive images. If we condition our brain to expect certain outcomes, it will work in accordance with that expectation and make whatever that is happen. If you doubt this, look to the accomplishments of people who have achieved the “impossible”. Who would have expected a little girl from a broken home, who was abused and shy to become one of the most famous, influential and wealthy women of our time? Who would believe that a young man who had no experience in the field of kickboxing could win a national title six weeks after being introduced to the sport? Who would believe that anyone, let alone a child, could survive the atrocities of the Holocaust and become a Nobel Peace Prize winner? Yet, Oprah Winfrey, Tim Ferriss and Elie Wiesel all did the impossible. They did not give in to the “reality” of their situations but believed in themselves, did what must be done and produced the outcome that few would have imagined. Are you holding on to a distortion of what is inevitable? Are you holding onto old, negative experiences that limit your potential? Release those ideas and embrace the possible. Listen to positive affirmations; morning and evening that will help you navigate your thoughts. When you are aware that the old patterns are showing up, observe that experience and replace it with what is more in line with your vision. Read books that reinforce the potential within you. Listen to tapes, CDs, training calls, and mastermind with others who are visionary. W. Clement Stone believed that everything that happened to him was a good thing. Any experience was meant to enrich, empower or advance his causes. How could he be anything but successful with that kind of attitude? Like Stone, look at every experience as an opportunity to learn a lesson, and the purpose of this lesson is to move you closer to your vision. We may not always like the experience or lesson, but that is not an option. The visionary, the leader you want to become, must take every lesson that is offered and be grateful for the opportunity. If you want to live the life of your dreams, you must believe that you deserve it and can make it happen. If you want a life of success and financial freedom, you must become the leader who sees the possible in the improbable. You must become the visionary others want to follow. You must become the person who is destined for greatness, the person you were always meant to be. Article Source: http://www.articlewheel.com
