By: Matt Sharp

After the success of Sony Ericsson W800i, there comes another Cyber Shot phone with almost similar specifications. However, the Sony Ericsson K810i houses enough of “tiny” alterations, lending it a somewhat different feel.

Among the first things that grabs your eyes is the number pad, whose buttons are rounded with concentric texture. The front fascia of the Sony Ericsson K810i is made of transparent plastic, unlike the K800i’s metal. The handset retains its classic candy-bar shape with its dimension reading 106 x 48 x 17 mm. The handset weighs 103 grams which is pretty normal for a 3G phone.

Cyber Shot brand is one of most sought after name in the field of digital photography. Therefore, the camera module of a Cyber Shot phone is of utmost important. It has to satisfy if not exceed expectations of a customer who would pick up the handset relying on the brand name the phone sports. The Sony Ericsson K810i gets full mark for delivering all and more than what the brand promises. Its 3.2 megapixel camera module is similar to its predecessor. High resolution imaging is accentuated with top of the line imaging aids.

The handset features autofocus, digital zoom, configurable settings, special effects and many such tools and functions. The handset boasts of a fully functional Xenon flash light instead of a low quality LED flash seen in almost all other camera phones. Be it high resolution stills or high quality footage – shoot them with just a simple slide of the camera cover. The handset has to be held like a regular digicam while on camera mode, thus maintaining the feel of shooting.

Apart from the primary camera, the Sony Ericsson K810i houses a VGA resolution secondary camera above its 2 inch TFT display. The Vodafone Sony Ericsson K810i is not just about its camera, but is a great communicator. 3G, triband band GSM connectivity, GPRS, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, Infrared, USB 2.0 – there are more way to get connected than you thought was possible.
