Surfing web with 40 gigabytes per second

By: Apostol Lucian

Peter Lothberg, a networking expert wanted to demonstrate that there are no limitations to Internet speed while providing a computer link for his mother in Karlstad.

To reach this speed he used a new modulation technique that allows the sending of data between two routers placed up to 1,240 miles apart, without any transponders in between.

This connection in Karlstad is believed to be the fastest residential uplink in the world.

Peter’s mother, who have the fastest transfer rate didn’t even have a computer before, and she is wasting it, using computer only to read Web-based newspapers.

These news are great, but we need such high speeds when a DVD movie has only 5 gigabytes ?
