This is Sony's conversion software that will convert the video and audio files on your computer to acceptable PSP formats and in turn download the converted files to your PSP. If you choose to download software for the PSP you might choose this software package. You can download Sony Media Manager for $19.95 or purchase it in a box for $29.95. DVD There's certainly more than one choice no matter which cost factor you choose. We'll go over one of each here. Sony's Media Manager, which sells for $19.95 to download the software and $29.95 for the packaged version, will transfer the video files to your PSP. However, it won't "rip" the movie off of your DVD. Meaning it won't copy the files from your DVD to your computer. Once you have "ripped" or "burned" or simply copied those files, then the Media Manager will download the DVD movie to your PSP. There is still so much more to the Sony PSP. Besides the ATRAC3 and ATRAC3plus, they are WAV files, MP3 and MP4 files. If you are downloading music files to your PSP using the Sonic Stage software, it's important to note that you'll also need to be running Windows XP.
