Both kinds of work at home experiences (job or business opportunity) have potential pros and cons. Working from home is highly productive, but it does encourage excessive work behavior. To many, working from home is a dream come true. To others, it is just a dream. People who work from home, like me, enjoy many savings too, like gas, child care, etc. Also, I don't waste time commuting. When other are in their cars getting to work, I am already working and getting a lot of things done. This is a short list of things to consider when working from home: * Can you get things done without supervision? This is vital if you are thinking about working from home. * Working from home affords us certain liberties we can't get as clock-punchers in the corporate world. * There are many home based businesses out there. Do your due diligence and find out what you think might work for you. * Make sure you have a quiet place where you can do your business without having the interference of children playing or dogs barking. Working from home is the key to healthy balance, as we work on our own pace and don't have to deal with nasty coworkers, but keep in my that when working from home you should not let other family members answer the phone.
