It's a miracle you're even reading this

It's a miracle you're reading this - by Peter Simons

Click Firefox button, type 'Internet Articles', G**gle brings 4,500,000 results. Gee, thanks.

Maybe it was an 'I feel lucky' day - the search engine automatically connected you to the first link
returned. So it was what you were looking for, right?

For users of the web, finding information is the biggest reason they're online. And you, no doubt.
So how long do you spend searching? The thing is, services exist now where you don't have to
do the searching. Just type your search (very hard work I know), and other people, obviously with
nothing better to do with their time, will do the search for you.

And trawl through all the results.

And send you the perfect link to your email.

For free.

So why does a user waste so much time on the net, searching and searching and searching?

It's a question that's difficult to answer. Of course, to aid a user's search there are plenty of
websites that deal with all the different types of thing you can type into a search engine to
get the results they need.

But realistically, who wants to know? Who actually knows?

We fire up G**gle, type in 'We want lagging' and hope to high Heaven that someone, somewhere
in good old G**gle land has got the algorithm right and that we'll get what they thought we wanted.

One such site that will perform the manual search for you is www.needlesinahaystack.co.uk,
a UK based company who will perform any search you ask of them, free of charge. And once
they've found what you were looking for, they send you the link in an email.

So how does it work?

Who cares! Send them what you're looking for, make a cup of coffee, check your email and
there it is, a few non-wasted minutes later. Exactly what you were looking for. But without the other
449,000 pages. Give it a try.
