Home | News & Society | Politics When students in Dr. Liviu Lebrescu’s class walked into his classroom on that fateful April 16th, it is doubtful that they were expecting their professor to sacrifice his life in order to preserve theirs. However, that is how the unfortunate series of events unfolded in that classroom that day. When the shooting attack reached his classroom, 76 year old Liviu Librescu, a Holocaust survivor and Israeli engineering and math lecturer at Virginia Tech, blocked the doorway with his body and commanded his students to flee. Professor Librescu's heroic actions allowed his students to escape through open windows saving their lives at the expense of his own. Dr. Ignatius Piazza is offering, to those students that survived because of the sacrifice of their professor, a Front Sight Firearms Training Institute "Legacy" Lifetime Membership so they may receive world-class self defense firearms training.
