You have the power to develop habits that will keep you going. Picture your goals. This could be material or abstract or something spiritual. A picture of a new house, car, or holiday would go a long way to focus your efforts. Cut out a picture of it and post it at a conspicuous place at work or at home where you can see it often. When you feel discouraged, this will remind you of your goal and will help you keep your focus. Create a good todo list, that you can continually monitor you progress and keep a check on how far you are from reaching your goals. Getting your goals written down is mentally more beneficial. In some ways it's like writing a agreement for yourself. The responsibility will be on you to honour the agreement and reward yourself based on your achievements. Sometimes a simple pat on the back or a nice thank you from someone else may just give you the extra push you need to keep going. In most cases you will have to motivate yourself and think of your own rewards. Keep negative people out of your life . It will lower your pride and self esteem. Better still mix with positive people, copy them. Last but not least smile and think of joyful things. Rather than wait for things to happen, try to be proactive and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. Inactivity leads to idleness and stagnation. It hinders your potential to reach your goals. Read inspirational books and literature. These will help improve your attitude and heal your mind. A book of success stories also proves to be encouraging. You will not only learn from the experiences of others and derive confidence. These stories will be instrumental in motivating you to go for your goal and move ahead with your plans. Whatever it is that you have been meaning to do or wanting to achieve, JUST DO IT!
