In case you didn't know America is now the fattest nation in the world. Yes, that's right, nearly 35% of Americans are Obese and over 70% are now overweight. Unfortunately, with so many fast food restaurants tempting us in with special offers, eating healthy foods for many has been put aside. However, what most people simply do not know is that they can actually lose weight by eating the same food each day!

Yes I know, generally people who are overweight eat too much. It is a simple fact of life. Not only that, as people get older, their metabolism slows down, meaning they do not burn as many calories as they once did. Eating habits have also changed. Fast food, TV Dinners, ready made supermarket food etc, are all a part of the problem.

Being overweight is a major problem for so many people, but still if they knew they could lose weight and yet still enjoy the food they love so much, things could be different.

You need your metabolism to work in order to turn the calories you eat into energy. Now, it is true that some people naturally have active metabolisms and they can eat as much as they want and still not put on weight. But what about the rest? Doesn't it seem unfair that sometimes even looking at a delicious meal makes you put on 5 pounds?

Although it is true that eating less will in time help you lose weight, providing you eat less fat and calories of course, but in truth, you can actually lose weight when you eat the same amount of food each day.

It really is not about how much you pile on your plate but what you pile on there. Your plate can be full giving you the same amount of food, but simply reducing the size of the fatty foods will help you shed pounds. For example, when you cook a huge rump steak, share it between two instead of eating it all yourself. Then fill your plate up with healthy food like vegetables, or rice. You will end up eating the same amount but your calorie intake will be far less.

It will help you in losing weight to understand calories more. Deciding on what food to eat needs to be looked at from a calorie point of view. Taking a herbal supplement after eating and not before, will also help to get your metabolism working. Regular exercise will increase the speed at which you lose weight, but I know for some that is simply not possible. Many people today cannot find enough time for their kids, let alone to exercise more!

Some people lose weight too fast and end up with serious problems like flabbing skin around their stomachs etc. Avoid such diets and you will avoid the pain and suffering that come with them.

By exercising more you can speed up the rate at which you burn calories, and it will help to build up your muscles and tighten your skin. Bare that in mind if you are serious about losing weight.

Eat more foods like rice, potatoes, cereals, chicken, fish. Try going a week without red meat but if you do eat red meat, reduce the size and add more vegetables to make up for it and do a bit more exercise too!

We know from scientific testing that eating little and often will help you lose weight faster. Simply eating five smaller meals a day will actually stimulate your metabolism and burn off more calories.

As normal, visit your local Doctor or Pharmacist for advise before you start out on your weight loss program.

Losing weight naturally without suffering or feeling hungry all the time really is possible when you know how. Try understanding food and what it does to your body more to help with your weight loss program.
