Home Gym Review -a General View

A lot of people are taking up fitness as a way of life, and the demand for good quality home gyms has gone up drastically. There are a number of different brands and manufacturers available now for every conceivable goal. Though the basic purpose of a home gym is the same i.e to increase fitness, each has its own unique qualities.

Weider home review gym review - Weider recently launched a new home gym called the crossbow, and it is getting rave reviews already. The crossbow uses rods instead of weights to provide resistance, which can range from 5-240 lbs. This can be further increased to 400 lbs, with the help of add-ons. The crossbow retails for around $500, which is a great value for money.

Marcy Home gym's review - The Marcy home gym is quite popular with top fitness gurus and models and a lot of people use there equipment at home. They have a wide range which mainly include the multi-station, power-station and the premier series. Each has its own unique quality and functions.

Power house home gym - The PH-1300 made by power house is a kind of a mix between a free weight home gym and a universal station. The weights for this station need to bought separately, which could increase its price. It is very good for serious bodybuilders as its weight-age can be increased to as much as 500 lbs.

Gold's Home gym review - The most popular in this series is the powerflex. It is basically like a universal gym, where the resistance is in the form of bows. The basic version consists of 210 lbs of resistance which can be further increased to 410 lbs with add-ons. The power flex also consists of a rowing machine, which is used to perform cardio exercises.

Hoist home gym review - The Multi-gym H-100 is a high end model which, retails for around $1500. It consists of a single weight rack and provides a large variety of exercises. The only bad part is that, no extra weights can added to this machine other than the pre-installed weight stack.

Tuff Stuff Home Gym Review - Another well know manufacturer, Tuff stuff makes some good home gyms including the CFM-555. This equipment is a universal home gym with a single weight stack, and retails for approximately $1200. The CFM rates highly on the comfort levels and has some good padded support. Also a large number of exercises can be performed on this machine, making it very versatile.

The home gyms reviewed above are just a few of the vast range a person can choose from. Also it is important to remember that when making a choice a person should consider his requirements and budget before purchase.
