Sildenafil Citrate was now available at almost 30% of the branded Viagra (which also contains sildenafil citrate as an active ingredient). Generic Viagra online made the matters worse for the enforcement authorities in the US. Firstly, Viagra is a prescription pill and it is not legal to trade the drug OTC. Secondly, online pharmacies are prohibited to deal with US customers. Thirdly, most of the generic versions of Viagra were illegal (as they were manufactured in violation of patent stipulations). These facts, however, never deterred cheap Generic Viagra pharmacies from offering their products to the customers short on cash. The success of generic Viagra is largely based on two facts – the generic drugs are almost 70% cheaper than their branded counterparts and they contain same active ingredient as the branded ones (thus, efficacy of drug can be easily proved). Resultantly, the cheap Generic Viagra has made significant inroads in the market for ED drugs. In a massive market, like India, generic Viagra is available in different variants. Some of these include Kamagra (Ajanta Pharma), Penegra (Zydus Cadila), Silagra (Cipla), Caverta (Ranbaxy) etc. If generic version of Viagra is giving the trendsetter a run for its money, then newer drugs like Cialis, Uprima and Levitra are proving tough cookies.
