Fundraising with a Computer Jigsaw

By: joed

Many Charities and not-for-profit organisations are now using

Computer Jigsaws
to raise funds.  The principle is quite straight
forward, you have one of your own digital pictures made into a computer jigsaw
which you then sell, or give in exchange for a donation.  As these jigsaws
are computer software, you buy one and sell many copies.
The computer jigsaws have:

  • a banner which links to the organisation's web site

  • a message or slogan in the Title Bar

  • another message when the jigsaw is complete

  • a message box with another message or slogan and another link to the
    organisations web site.

As well as providing extra income, these jigsaws are a great way to raise
awareness of a cause or fundraising event.  Some organisations actually
just give them away, to raise awareness of their cause and to attract more
visitors to their web site.  This works very well, especially when the
organisation encourages people to pass the jigsaw on to others.  Each
person who downloads a jigsaw could pass it on to several others, who in turn
pass it on to several other.
As one Fundraiser said "I've been involved in fundraising for over 25 years,
and this is the first advert I've seen that people look at for over 20 minutes,
then pass it on to all their friends!
