Home | Health & Fitness | Acne Since keeping the face clean is especially important for those who struggle with acne, let's take a look at a few cleansing tips that you should follow in order to ensure that you are properly cleaning your face and giving your skin the best chance against acne. This first tip may seem a bit surprising at first, and that is to first wash your hands. Since it is your hands that are going to come in direct contact with your face, you'll want to make sure that your aren't actively transferring germs from your hands to your face as a function of the cleaning process. Your hair contains natural oils and other materials that you do not want to have come in contact with your face as you clean it. Pull your hair firmly back and keep it out of the way. Use a band or a shower cap if necessary. Begin by wetting your face with warm water. Don't use hot water. Then apply the cleansing product as directed by the packaged instruction. Always follow the directions and use the directed amount (no more or less). Do not use a wash cloth when cleansing your face. Instead, gently massage the cleanser into your face using a gentle circular motion with your finger tips. Paying particular attention to any stubborn areas, work your way all the way up to your hairline. Do not use any type of a hard scrubbing technique as this is counterproductive. Upon completion, rinse off your face very thoroughly with warm water. You want to make sure that you get all of the cleanser washed off of your face. 6.Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel. Don't rub your face and never use a towel more than once. Before you apply any type of acne medication or moisturizers, make sure that you allow your face to air dry completely (usually about 15 minutes). Stay on top of your cleaning routine and follow these few simple rules of the road and you'll be on your way to clearer skin. Article Source: http://www.articlewheel.com
