Do you know how many ways there are to find candidates? We do. Do you know how important they are in filling more jobs with fewer people? We do. Do you need to know the answers to these questions? No, but we do.

Finding the right person at the right time is our specialty. In this day of technology, there are many methods of locating candidates. There are online application systems, resume-tracking software, job listings, web sites specializing in hard-to-find talent, chat rooms and forums.That’s to name just a few.Why spend the time, money and energy trying to recreate the wheel? We already know where to look for candidates. We know which newsgroups to peruse and the right questions to ask. We know where to look and how to get there.

An addition to the technological methods of recruiting candidates, many haven’t changed much through the years.These include:

Professional associations. We’ve taken the time to build relationships with many associations. We’ve become a trusted resource to them, and in turn they’ve become an excellent network for us.

Seminars and conferences for people in our target candidate groups.

Colleges where we build affiliations with computer science professors and career-center staff.

Nontraditional advertising sources, which can vary depending on the range of candidates we’re seeking. From specialized newspaper adds to movie theater advertising, this is where our creative makes us stand apart.

We will also recommend that you use your own networking skills. Have a lead and you’re not quite sure how to follow up on it? Give it to us and we’ll find out everything there is to know. Do you know which businesses are reducing staff and which are in danger of folding? Share that knowledge with us and we can direct our search to include those employees as well.

The only way to get the right person is to get the right pool of candidates. Without that, neither of us accomplish our goal of hiring the best. Changes to the employment market, changes in technology and changes in business all affect how to find these people. Each day is opening new avenues to pursue, new opportunities to be heard by the right people. We are constantly researching these avenues and making new ones.
