Home | Home & Family | Holidays Light the fireplace; put on your favorite Christmas CD; hang mistletoe in every doorway, and you are ready to begin. Depending on how many friends you have invited, you will either choose a sit-down dinner or a buffet. Most often, buffet is the method of choice. Don't forget to write on your invitations: "Bring a Dish to Share". What Will Be Served In Your Party? A 12 foot sub or hero is always a good choice. It can be served hot or cold and it will be enough to satisfy the people you've invited. Alternatively, you can create your own dish and tell everyone else to also bring something they've made, as well. Popular side dishes are sausage in biscuits; stuffed mushrooms; chicken rolls, or different flavored cheese puffs and knishes. Also serve wine, punch, water, and especially during Christmas, eggnog. How Will You Serve the Buffet? Place a large table in the middle of your dining area or living room with all of the food. At the head of the table, put your Christmas themed paper plates, napkins and silverware. This makes it easier for your guests to pick a plate, napkin and utensil and go directly to the food. Another benefit is that it makes cleaning up easier for you. Decorate your dining room table. Here are some suggestions: Choose a solid color tablecloth; red, green or white. Add Christmas placemats at each setting. As a centerpiece, fill a crystal bowl with Christmas balls. Next to the centerpiece, place two Christmas candles. To make your tablecloth stand out, pin garland around the bottom of the tablecloth. How About Party Games? After everyone's had their fill, it's time for fun games. Adults may enjoy charades or a Christmas sing-a-long. How about playing musical chairs with a twist. The guys get down on one knee, while the girls circle around them to the tunes of Christmas medleys. When the music stops, each girl has to immediately sit on a guy's knee. It's so fun, that your guests laugh till tears fall out. Lastly, Christmas isn't Christmas without Santa. Get someone to wear a Santa villain costume. Have him wear the typical Santa Clause white hair and mustache. He could give away gag gifts, or anything that's funny and nice. No gifts for the naughty ones. This will be one party everyone in the company will remember. Article Source: http://www.articlewheel.com
