Create Memories With The Best Company Christmas Party Ideas

By: Kerry Beck

It's the Christmas holidays, and you decide to invite your friends over for a Christmas party. Here are the best company Christmas party ideas

Have the fireplace lit up; play your favorite Christmas tune; nail a mistletoe on every doorway, and the party can begin. Depending on the number of people you've invited, you will either pick a buffet or a conventional sit-down meal. Most popular is the buffet. If you have a buffet, write out invitations saying: "Bring a Dish to Share".

What's Nice To Serve On The Buffet?

A 12 foot sub or hero is always a good choice. It can be served hot or cold and it will be enough to satisfy the people you've invited. Alternatively, you can create your own dish and tell everyone else to also bring something they've made, as well. Popular side dishes are sausage in biscuits; stuffed mushrooms; chicken rolls, or different flavored cheese puffs and knishes. Also serve wine, punch, water, and especially during Christmas, eggnog.

How Will You Serve the Buffet?

Set up a separate table in your dining room or living room. Place all of the foods on the table. Add Christmas paper plates, napkins, and your good flatware at the beginning of the table. This way, your guests can take a paper dish, napkin and utensil and proceed directly to the food. Tip: This makes cleaning up easier for you, too.

Liven up the look of your dining table with these suggestions. Get a tablecloth of only one color; either white, red or green. Then put Christmas placemats under every dish. In the center, get a large bowl and fill it with Christmas balls. Next to it, put two Christmas candles. To make the tablecloth even more eye-catching, fasten Christmas garland around the edges of the tablecloth.

How About Party Games?

After the buffet and dessert, it's time for some party games. Adults may enjoy charades or a Christmas sing-a-long. Or you could play musical chairs with a twist. Have the men get down on one knee, while the women walk around them to the tune of jingle bells. When the music stops, each woman has to sit on a man's knee. This game is so much fun, that your guests will laugh until they cry.

Lastly, Christmas isn't Christmas without Santa. Get someone to wear a Santa villain costume. Have him wear the typical Santa Clause white hair and mustache. He could give away gag gifts, or anything that's funny and nice. No gifts for the naughty ones. This will be one party everyone in the company will remember.
