Home | Religion & Spirituality There are cases that the funeral is not pre-planned. This will happen if the deceased passes away in an accident. In such cases, all the decisions will be left to the family members of the deceased. And of course these include the decision between burial and cremation. As a matter of fact, there are cases that cremation is preferred. For instance, when there is an accident, the deceased may be seriously injured. In this case cremation will be preferred. In some other cases, family members will choose to bury the deceased. Of course in this case a casket has to be purchased. The choice of the casket is also very essential to this end. Both of the above are ways to deal with the remains of the deceased. As mentioned, it is not easy to make the decision. As a matter of fact, cremation will be an even more difficult decision. No one would like to see one's beloved one is cremated. On the other hand, the choice between cremation and burial can be made a bit easier if there are religious reasons. If the teaching of Buddhism is followed, cremation will usually be the choice. Yet the choice will be made according to the teaching of the religion that the deceased believes in. It will be just like the deceased has already made the decision beforehand. Most people will consider burial will be an easier decision. The reason for this is that the gravestone can be visited in later time. It will be always good to visit the gravestone as a memory of the deceased. In such case the idea of burial will normally be preferred. No matter what the choice is, one will find it not really easy to make the decision between burial and cremation. Yet one of the ways to make the decision is to investigate what the deceased wishes. For example, if the deceased has some religious belief, the decision can be made upon the teaching of the religions. Of course the easiest way is to plan it ahead before passing away, which is very common nowadays. Article Source: http://www.articlewheel.com
