Home | Self Improvement | Time Management Are you living at 100%? Physically, mentally, spiritually, persuasively? The search for meaning and fulfillment and happiness are within all of us and yet out of reach for many. Why? Why do some people struggle with money, relationships, weight issues, and lack of motivation while others breeze through life with their paths laid out before them, living up to their full potential? As we've evolved, we've also gotten distracted and lost touch with our other-than-conscious selves. When we reorient ourselves to communicating with our other-than-conscious, amazing things can happen. If we consider our subconscious mind a friend, and communicate with it directly, succinctly and, in a way, strictly, we can move mountains. Harnessing the power of our gentle giants aids us in pursuing fulfillment and happiness in all aspects of our lives. They've been learning since the moment of our birth, and with our attention, they can give us even more of what we want. Everything that goes on around us is being filtered into this other-than-conscious. From the very start of our lives, we were conditioned--first as babies, learning language, learning how to interact with other humans. . . we received punishments or rewards. And as we learned, so did our other-than-conscious minds. These early learnings mapped out our futures and what we could expect out of life. The subconscious has many roles, one of which is a powerful self persuader. Keeping us alive is one of the other-than-conscious mind's jobs. That's a big job. Another function is to keep us static, doing what we've been doing, doing what we've always trained it to do. . . this can create problems for us when we decide we want to make changes. The other-than-conscious has the potential to be sabotaged by our negative conditioning. If we say to ourselves, 'I can't do that', our gentle giant think, 'Oh. Okay. I can't do that.' This part of the brain also has the function of turning an activity or thought into a habit putting it on auto pilot so we don't have to consciously use up space thinking about it. This can be both positive and negative for us. You're going to experience an enormous difference in your life as we reframe the power of your other-than-conscious and engage it to aide us in exploring how far we can go. So the big question is: how do we befriend this gentle giant? Well. . . how do you make any other friend? You gain rapport with them. It's that easy. When I first heard this I laughed. I thought, "What do you mean I have to become a friend with some other part of me?". But if you'll just take a leap of faith, I think you're going to find that it makes a huge difference in the way you see things and you'll get a whole lot further a whole lot quicker in your persuasion. And this is how to do it: Give yourself a little pep talk. Ask for what you need help with. 'Dear Gentle Giant. . . I'd love to double our income. I think we're absolutely worth it.' Or maybe, 'Hi. I know we've had some rocky relationships and there has been a bad pattern created and now, I'd like to end that and have a great connection. What do you think? Let's do it together.' You could also ask for help with things you're learning, as in, 'Gentle giant, I would absolutely love to have my persuasion skills increase exponentially. You are really the one I can count on for help.' Everything that you are, everything that you do, and everything that you have began with your intention to have it in one way or another is controlled by your other-than-conscious mind. All you have to do is tap into your persuasive power and your persuasion skills will naturally develop. Article Source: http://www.articlewheel.com
